Many towns that split into "Old" and "New" did so upon arrival of the railroad, but in this case (Old) Corn Hill was mostly absorbed into Jarrell, Texas. Evidently enough of the Corn Hill population wanted to retain the name and moved eastward.

The Church in New Corn Hill is one of my favorite churches in Texas... New Corn Hill is just north of Georgetown east of IH 35.. Great site ...keep up the good work.. - Bob Crain

Maybe you have been to New Corn Hill and thought you were in Corn Hill, or Cornhill depending on your spelling preference and which map you're using.
