Alcino, Texas, Floyd County ghost town. (original) (raw)
History in a Pecan Shell
The town was either named after an existing town in New Mexico or else Alcinie Dillard, wife of settler John Dillard.
The town had a post office for only six or seven years from 1917 to 1923. It then moved to Lockney, Texas which is 10 miles NW of the county seat of Floydada.
