History
Coldwater was near Coldwater Creek in northern Dallam County. The school community had a store and a few scattered residences in 1947. Mail was delivered from Dalhart. Coldwater declined by 1950, after the consolidation of the county's school districts. The school was subsequently turned into a community hall for area farmers and ranchers. The population in 2000 was fifty-three.
