Wellington, Texas railroad depots. (original) (raw)

This was a stop on the 110-mile line between Childress and Pampa. The railroad opened in July 1932, also probably the time the depot was built. Burlington Northern closed the line years ago, and the tracks have been pulled up and sold for scrap. The Depot remains unchanged on the inside and mostly unchanged on the outside, and at one time still had a sign for a "colored" waiting room.
