Decker, Texas, Nolan County. (original) (raw)
History on a Pinhead
A cemetery is shown on county maps labeled Decker Lane, but otherwise, little else remains of this community. The name comes from A. F. Decker, who was actually the postmaster of the Sweetwater, Texas post office when the time (1892) came to open an office here.
In 1917 the post office was relocated to Maryneal and by the late 1940s, Decker, Texas had already become a ghost.
