History in a Pecan Shell
Named after the creek of the same name, Nickel Creek (the town) has no 19th Century history. It wasn�t until the late 1940s when the town appeared. The population peaked in the late 1960s when it was reported that 16 people lived here. The town once had a motel in its heyday, but it has since closed. The population was given as two in 2005.
