Osman, Texas. (original) (raw)
History in a Pecan Shell
Osman was merely a railroad siding with section houses in Osman Canyon in 1892. It never established any sort of community - and most business was transacted in nearby Langtry. Neighboring Bean, Texas was named after the Justice of the Peace/ saloon-keeper "Judge" Roy Bean of Langtry.
Osman appears in Val Verde County 1920s and 1940s maps.
