Great Expectations
Named for the Oklahoma capital and boomtown, where they had oil wells on the state capitol grounds, Tulsa, Texas never came close to rivaling its namesake. When oil discoveries were made in 1926, the name was applied to a post office on the freshly platted townsite.

The post office was open from August of 1927 to 1929 when it was moved to Wink. It reported 25 people in 1933 when the town was down to a single business.

The store closed sometime after WWII and today nothing remains.
