J. Christian Sajous
J. Christian Sajous will have an exhibit of his paintings at the East Meadow Public Library during March. There will be an opening reception on Sunday, March 7, 1999 between 2 and 4:30 p.m. and the public is invited to attend.
Sajous studied art in his native Port-au-Prince, Haiti before coming to the United States to study law. He began to paint again seriously as a cure for insomnia and attended the Newark School of Fine Arts while working as a criminal defense lawyer in New Jersey. His work was quickly noticed and acquired by many collectors of Haitian art. He has won first place in several art competitions including Med-Art International and the 1998 Long Beach Art Show.
The exhibition can be viewed during regular Library hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 9-9; Wednesdays, 11-9; Saturday, 9-5; Sunday, 1-5.
