DESCRIPTION

Dionysus (Roman Bacchus) rides across the dusty plains of North Africa on the back of a lion. He holds a drinking cup in his hand and reins in the ohter. The god is accompanied by a pair of Satyrs and a cymbal-clashing Maenad (not shown). Silenus follows seated on the back of a camel (see other image).
