ORSEIS was the Naiad-nymph of spring of a town in the region of Hellas in Thessalia (northern Greece). She was the wife of Hellen, an early king of the Hellenes of northern Greece. He was the only son of Deukalion and Pyrrha, the two survivors of the Great Deluge. Hellen and Orseis' descendants would come to rule most of Greece.
