Major Richard Nicholas Bethell, 6th Baron Westbury was born on 29 May 1950.2 He is the son of David Allan Bethell, 5th Baron Westbury and Ursula Mary-Rose James.1,3 He married, firstly, Caroline Mary Palmer, daughter of Richard John Palmer and Lady Sarah Faith Georgina Spencer, on 11 December 1975.1 He and Caroline Mary Palmer were divorced in 1991.1 He married, secondly, Charlotte Sara Jane Gore, daughter of John Temple Gore and Serena Margaret Mounsey, in 1993.4 He and Charlotte Sara Jane Gore were divorced.4 He married, thirdly, Hilary Louise Guard, daughter of David Radcliffe Guard.5
He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England.3 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.3 He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1979.3 He gained the rank of Major in the Scots Guards.3 He fought in the South Atlantic Campaign in 1982, where he was mentioned in dispatches twice and was wounded.3 He was appointed Officer, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (O.St.J.)3 He succeeded as the 6th Baron Westbury, of Westbury, co. David Bethell, 5th Baron Westbury2
David Allan Bethell, 5th Baron Westbury was born on 16 July 1922.3 He was the son of Hon. Richard Bethell and Evelyn Lucia Millicent Hutton.3,4 He married Ursula Mary-Rose James, daughter of Hon. Robert James and Lady Serena Mary Barbara Lumley, on 21 October 1947.3 He died on 12 October 2001 at age 79.3
In 1930 he was granted the rank of baron's younger son.4 He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England.4 He fought in the Second World War, where he was where he was mentioned in dispatches three times, and was wounded.4 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.3 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1943.3 He gained the rank of Captain in 1947 in the Scots Guards.3 He was Equerry to HRH the Duke of Gloucester between 1947 and 1949.3 He succeeded as the 5th Baron Westbury, of Westbury, co. Henry, 3rd Earl of Atholl was the son of Malcolm, 2nd Earl of Atholl and Hextilda (?)1 He married Margaret (?)1 He died before January 1210/11, without surviving male issue.1
He confirmed the grant of the Church of Dull to St. Andrews.2 He was also known as Henry Strabolgi. He succeeded as the 3rd Earl of Atholl [S., c. 1115] circa 1190.1 He was Commander of the expedition against Godfrey MacDonald Mhic William, then in rebellion against King William the Lion in 1211.2

Patrick of Galloway, 5th Earl of Atholl was the son of Thomas of Galloway and Isabel, Countess of Atholl.1 He was murdered in 1242 at Haddington, East Lothian, ScotlandG, by an unknown person , killed by Walter Bisset after beating him at a tournament (he was burnt to death), unmarried.1 He was buried at Franciscans graveyard, Haddington, East Lothian, ScotlandG.2
He was also known as Patrick of Galbraith.3 He succeeded as the 5th Earl of Atholl [S., c. 1115] circa 1231.1
