Diana Mairi Douglas-Hamilton was born on 13 February 1932.1 She was the daughter of W/Cdr. Lord Malcolm Avondale Douglas-Hamilton and Clodagh Pamela Bowes-Lyon.1 She married Gavin William Younger, son of Major Henry Johnston Younger, on 18 June 1955.1 She and Gavin William Younger were divorced in 1973.1 She died on 21 November 2019 at age 87.2
She was educated at North Foreland Lodge School, Aigton.1 She graduated from Edinburgh College of Art, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG, in 1953 with a Diploma of Drawing and Painting.1 She held the office of Maid of Honour for Assembly of Holyrood House in 1954.1 From 18 June 1955, her married name became Younger. She graduated from Bristol Polytechnic, Bristol, EnglandG, in 1978 with a Diploma of Sculpture.1 She lived in 1999 at Friarshawmuir, Midlem, Selkirkshire, ScotlandG.1
