Ferdinand August Herzog von Württemberg was born on 22 October 1763 at Treptow, Brandenburg, GermanyG.2 He was the son of Friedrich II Eugen Heinrich Herzog von Württemberg and Friederike Dorothea Prinzessin von Brandenburg-Schwedt.1 He married, firstly, Albertine Prinzessin zu Schwarzburg-Sondershausen, daughter of Christian Günther III Prinz zu Schwarzburg-Sondershausen and Wilhelmine Prinzessin von Anhalt-Bernburg, on 18 March 1795.2 He and Albertine Prinzessin zu Schwarzburg-Sondershausen were divorced in 1801.3 He married, secondly, Pauline Prinzessin von Metternich-Winneburg, daughter of Franz Georg Prinz von Metternich-Winneburg and Maria Beatrix Gräfin von Kageneck, on 23 February 1817 at Marseilles, FranceG.3 He died on 20 January 1834 at age 70 at Wiesbaden, Hessen, GermanyG.2

Franz II Joseph Karl von Österreich, Holy Roman Emperor was born on 12 February 1768 at Florence, ItalyG.3 He was the son of Leopold II von Österreich, Holy Roman Emperor and Maria Luisa de Borbón, Infanta de España. He married, firstly, Elisabeth Wilhelmine Herzogin von Württemberg, daughter of Friedrich II Eugen Heinrich Herzog von Württemberg and Friederike Dorothea Prinzessin von Brandenburg-Schwedt, on 6 January 1788 at Vienna, AustriaG.3 He married, secondly, Maria Teresa Carolina Josephine di Borbone, Principessa delle Due Sicilie, daughter of Ferdinando I di Borbone, Re delle Due Sicilie and Marie Caroline Erzherzogin von Österreich, on 19 September 1790 at Vienna, AustriaG.3 He married, thirdly, Marie Ludovika Erzherzogin von Österreich-Este, daughter of Ferdinand Karl Erzherzog von Österreich and Maria Beatrice d'Este, Duchessa di Modena, on 6 January 1808 at Vienna, AustriaG.3 He married, fourthly, Charlotte Auguste Prinzessin von Bayern, daughter of Maximilian IV (I) Joseph König von Bayern and Auguste Wilhelmine Prinzessin von Hessen-Darmstadt, on 10 November 1816 at Vienna, AustriaG.1 He married Maria Teresa Carolina Josephine di Borbone, Principessa delle Due Sicilie, daughter of Ferdinando I di Borbone, Re delle Due Sicilie and Marie Caroline Erzherzogin von Österreich, on 15 August 1790 at Naples, ItalyG, in a proxy marriage.4 He died on 2 March 1835 at age 67 at Vienna, AustriaG.1 He was buried at Capuchin Church, Vienna, AustriaG.5

He gained the title of Erzherzog von Österreich.4 He succeeded as the Emperor Francis II of the Holy Roman Empire on 1 March 1792.3 He was crowned King of Hungary on 6 June 1792.4 He was crowned Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire on 14 July 1792 at Frankfurt-am-Main, Hessen, GermanyG.4 He was crowned King of Bohemia on 5 August 1792.4 He gained the title of Grand Duke of Cracow on 24 October 1795.4 He gained the title of Lord of Cattaro in 1797.4 He gained the title of Duke of Friuli in 1797.4 He was created Franz II Kaiser von Österreich on 11 April 1804.3,4 He abdicated as Holy Roman Emperor on 6 August 1806.3
