Sir Robert Edward Laycock and Lady Clare Angela Louise Ward, on 23 April 1955.1 He and Edwina Ottillie Jane Laycock were divorced in 1963.1 He married, secondly, Lady Theresa Jane Fox-Strangways, daughter of Edward Henry Charles James Fox-Strangways, 7th Earl of Ilchester and Helen Elizabeth Ward, in January 1972.1 He married, thirdly, Elspeth Macpherson, daughter of Lt.-Col. A. I. Macpherson, in 1992.1 He died on 30 March 1998 at age 67.1
