Captain William Henry Agnew, 5th of Dalreagle was born in 1800.1 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Patrick Alexander Agnew, 4th of Dalreagle and Margaret Mackintosh.1 He died in 1832, without issue.1
He gained the rank of Captain in the 6th Madras Native Infantry.1

Dorothy Watson was born in 1810 at Shoreham, Kent, EnglandG.2 She was the daughter of Horace Watson and Emma (?)2 She married Captain Alexander Kerr Agnew, 6th of Dalreagle, son of Maj.-Gen. Patrick Alexander Agnew, 4th of Dalreagle and Margaret Mackintosh, on 19 July 1828 at Takli, Nagpur, IndiaG.2 She died on 21 May 1864 at Lyon, FranceG.2
From 19 July 1828, her married name became Agnew.1
