Major Frank McKno Bladon1

Major Frank McKno Bladon was born on 26 July 1902.2 He was the son of John McKno Bladon and Ethel Dickinson.1,3 He married Lilias Graeme Kington-Blair-Oliphant, daughter of T/Lt.-Col. Philip Laurence Kington-Blair-Oliphant of Ardblair and Laura Geraldine Bodenham, on 1 March 1930.1 He died on 22 August 1970 at age 68 at Middledean, Swallowcliffe, Wiltshire, England.4
He was educated at Sedbergh School, Sedbergh, Cumbria, EnglandG.2 He was commissioned in 1921 with the rank of 2nd Lieutenant, in the service of the 73rd Brigade, Royal Field Artillery.2 He fought in the Second World War, with the 8th Army.2 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Artillery.2 He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.) in 1951.2 He lived in 1965 at Middledean, Swallowcliffe, Wiltshire, EnglandG.1

Beatrice Mary Carroll was born in 1910 at County Cork, Ireland.2 She was the daughter of Thomas Laurence Carroll and Susan Waring.1 She married, firstly, Major Philip James Kington-Blair-Oliphant of Ardblair, son of T/Lt.-Col. Philip Laurence Kington-Blair-Oliphant of Ardblair and Laura Geraldine Bodenham, on 18 August 1934.1 She married, secondly, Sir James Alexander Lawson Duncan, 1st and last Bt., son of Alexander Duncan, on 1 August 1966.1 She died on 8 December 2003.2
From 18 August 1934, her married name became Kington-Blair-Oliphant.1 She was an actress at Abbey Theatre, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.2 From 1 August 1966, her married name became Duncan.1 She lived in 2003 at Jordanstone House, Alyth, Perthshire, ScotlandG.1
