Sir Henry Chester1

Sir Henry Chester was born circa 1597.1 He was the son of Sir Anthony Chester, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Boteler.1 He married Mary Wood, daughter of Thomas Wood and Susanna Cranmer, after 1640.2 He died on 18 August 1669, without surviving issue.1
He was appointed Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.)1

Mary Wood was baptised on 2 August 1604 at Hackney, London, EnglandG.2 She was born at Loudham, Suffolk, EnglandG.2 She was the daughter of Thomas Wood and Susanna Cranmer.1,2 She married, firstly, Samuel Cranmer, son of John Cranmer and Joan Maynard, on 4 July 1633 at St. Margaret's Church, Westminster, London, EnglandG.1,2 She married, secondly, Sir Henry Chester, son of Sir Anthony Chester, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Boteler, after 1640.1 She died in April 1684 at age 79.3 She was buried on 24 April 1684 at St. Peter's Church, Astwood, Buckinghamshire, EnglandG.2
From 4 July 1633, her married name became Cranmer.1 From after 1640, her married name became Chester.1
