Sir Thomas Dunlop-Wallace was born on 18 September 1750 at Dunlop House, Dunlop, Ayrshire, ScotlandG.1 He was the son of John Dunlop, 19th of that Ilk and Frances Anna Wallace.1 He married, firstly, Eglintoun Maxwell, daughter of Sir William Maxwell of Monreith, 3rd Bt. and Magdalen Blair, on 4 September 1772.1 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Isabella Brunsden in 1783 at London, EnglandG.1 He married, thirdly, Rosina Raisne in 1792.1 He married, fourthly, Anne Catherine Thirion Melinette on 30 August 1830 at Moulton, Devon, EnglandG.1 He died in 1835 at Dumfries, Dumfries-shire, ScotlandG.1
He was given the name of Thomas Wallace-Dunlop at birth.1 Circa 1770 his name was legally changed to Thomas Dunlop-Wallace.1 Between 1803 and 1814 he was a prisoner of war of the French.1

Eglintoun Maxwell was born circa 1754 at Monreith, Mochrum, Wigtownshire, ScotlandG.2 She was the daughter of Sir William Maxwell of Monreith, 3rd Bt. and Magdalen Blair.1 She married Sir Thomas Dunlop-Wallace, son of John Dunlop, 19th of that Ilk and Frances Anna Wallace, on 4 September 1772.1 She died on 28 March 1803 at Munich, Bavaria, Germany.2,3
From 4 September 1772, her married name became Dunlop-Wallace.1

General Sir John Dunlop-Wallace 3

General Sir John Alexander Agnew Dunlop-Wallace was born between 1774 and 1775.2 He was the son of Sir Thomas Dunlop-Wallace and Eglintoun Maxwell.1 He married Janette Rodger, daughter of William Rodger, on 23 June 1829.2 He died on 10 February 1857 at Lochryan House, Stranraer, Wigtownshire, Scotland.2
He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1815.2 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) on 16 September 1833.2 He gained the rank of General on 11 November 1851.2
