Sir Frederick John Jones, 1st Bt. was born in 1854 at Willenhall, Staffordshire, England.2,3 He was the son of Thomas Jones.2 He married, firstly, Annie Elizabeth Benton, daughter of Walter Benton, in 1877.2 He married, secondly, Katherine Dyson, daughter of Robert Dyson and Sarah Maria Clark, in 1902.2 He died on 23 May 1936.4
He was President of the Mining Associaiton, Great Britain.2 He was created 1st Baronet Jones, of Treeton, West Riding, co. York [U.K.] on 23 May 1919.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for the West Riding, Yorkshire.2
