Brigadier Edward John Clervaux Chaytor1

Brigadier Edward John Clervaux Chaytor was born on 16 November 1903.1 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Sir Edward Walter Clervaux Chaytor and Louisa Jane Collins.2 He married, firstly, Margaret Frances Morgan Vlieland, daughter of Charles Archibald Vlieland, on 12 November 1938.1 He married, secondly, Carina Mary Marcelle Anderson, daughter of Henry Stewart Anderson and Juliette (?), on 28 October 1970.1 He died on 27 November 1976 at age 73, without issue.1
He was educated at Wanganui Collegiate School, Wanganui, New ZealandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, Kent, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Brigadier in the Royal Artillery.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches twice.1

Carina Mary Marcelle Anderson usually went by her middle name of Marcelle.1 From 1931, her married name became Martin.2 From 28 September 1943, her married name became Harrison.2 From 28 October 1970, her married name became Chaytor.
