John Crewe, 1st Baron Crewe

John Crewe, 1st Baron Crewe was born on 27 September 1742.1 He was the son of John Crewe and Anne Shuttleworth.1 He married Frances Anne Greville, daughter of Fulke Greville and Frances Macartney, on 4 April 1766.3 He died on 28 April 1829 at age 86.1
He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.3 He held the office of High Sheriff of Cheshire in 1764.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Stafford between 1765 and 1768.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Cheshire between 1768 and 1802.3 He was created 1st Baron Crewe, of Crewe, co. Chester [U.K.] on 25 February 1806.3

Emma Louisa Frederica Grant was born on 9 August 1819 at Hyderabad, India.2 She was the daughter of Charles St. John Grant and Mary Stoddart.2 She was baptised on 18 September 1819 at Hyderabad, Madras, India.2 She married, firstly, Captain Henry Fombelle Siddons, son of George John Siddons and Mary Fombelle, on 24 January 1841 at Sholapoor, Madras, India.1,2 She married, secondly, Colonel Richard Crewe, son of Richard Crewe and Frances Hare, on 2 September 1862 at Boulogne-sur-Mer, France.1,2 She died on 16 January 1878 at age 58 at 5 Devonshire Terrace, Hyde park, London, England.1,2
From 24 January 1841, her married name became Siddons.1 From 2 September 1862, her married name became Crewe.1
