Henry Verney, 16th Lord Willoughby de Broke1

Henry Verney, 16th Lord Willoughby de Broke was born on 5 April 1773.1 He was the son of John Peyto-Verney, 14th Lord Willoughby de Broke and Lady Louisa North.1 He married Margaret Williams, daughter of Sir John Williams, 1st Bt. and Margaret Williams, on 10 March 1829.2 He died on 16 December 1852 at age 79, without issue.1
He was educated at Oriel College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Captain in 1803 in the Warwickshire Yeomanry Cavalry.1 He held the office of a Lord of the Bedchamber between 1804 and 1815.1 He gained the rank of Major in 1807.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in 1814.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Warwickshire between 1817 and 1818.1 He succeeded as the 16th Lord Willoughby de Broke [E., 1491] on 1 September 1820.2 He succeeded as the 23rd Lord Latimer, of Corby [E., 1299] on 1 September 1820, de jure.1 He succeeded as the 24th Lord Latimer, of Corby [E., 1290] on 1 September 1820, de jure.1

Robert John Verney, 17th Lord Willoughby de Broke1

Robert John Verney, 17th Lord Willoughby de Broke was born on 17 October 1809.2 He was the son of Reverend Robert Barnard and Hon. Louisa Peyto-Verney.2 He married Georgiana Jane Taylor, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Thomas William Taylor and Anne Harvey Petrie, on 25 October 1842.2 He died on 5 June 1862 at age 52.2
He was given the name of Robert John Barnard at birth.1 He succeeded as the 25th Lord Latimer, of Corby [E., 1290] on 16 December 1852, de jure.2 He succeeded as the 17th Lord Willoughby de Broke [E., 1491] on 16 December 1852.2 He succeeded as the 24th Lord Latimer, of Corby [E., 1299] on 16 December 1852, de jure.2 On 17 May 1853 his name was legally changed to Robert John Verney by Royal Licence.1

Georgiana Jane Taylor1

Georgiana Jane Taylor was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. Thomas William Taylor and Anne Harvey Petrie.1 She married Robert John Verney, 17th Lord Willoughby de Broke, son of Reverend Robert Barnard and Hon. Louisa Peyto-Verney, on 25 October 1842.1 She died on 7 March 1889.1
Her married name became Townsend. From 17 May 1853, her married name became Verney.1

Colonel Henry Verney, 18th Lord Willoughby de Broke was born on 14 May 1844.2 He was the son of Robert John Verney, 17th Lord Willoughby de Broke and Georgiana Jane Taylor.3 He married Geraldine Smith-Barry, daughter of James Hugh Smith-Barry and Elizabeth Jacson, on 17 October 1867.2 He died on 19 December 1902 at age 58, at sea on board the P&O Steamship Australia.4

Geraldine Smith-Barry was born in 1847.2 She was the daughter of James Hugh Smith-Barry and Elizabeth Jacson.1 She married Colonel Henry Verney, 18th Lord Willoughby de Broke, son of Robert John Verney, 17th Lord Willoughby de Broke and Georgiana Jane Taylor, on 17 October 1867.3 She died on 21 December 1894.1
From 17 October 1867, her married name became Verney.4
