Thomas Erskine, 2nd Lord Erskine was the son of Sir Robert Erskine of that Ilk, 1st Lord Erskine and Lady Elizabeth Lindsay.2 He married Janet Douglas before 1445.3 He died before 1493.2
He was appointed Knight before January 1440/41.2 He succeeded as the 14th Earl of Mar [S., c. 1115] between 7 September 1451 and 6 November 1452, de jure.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Lord Erskine [S., 1438] between 7 September 1451 and 6 November 1452.2 He held the office of Sheriff of Stirling in 1483.2

Alexander Erskine, 3rd Lord Erskine was the son of Thomas Erskine, 2nd Lord Erskine and Janet Douglas.2 He married, firstly, Christian Crichton, daughter of Sir Robert Crichton of Sanquhar and Elizabeth Erskine, before 9 October 1466.3 He married, secondly, Helen Home, daughter of Alexander Home, 1st Lord Home and Marion Lauder, before 15 July 1480.3 He died from 10 March 1507/8 to 10 May 1509.3
He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Scotland]3 He succeeded as the 14th Earl of Mar [S., c. 1115] before 1493, de jure.4 He succeeded as the 3rd Lord Erskine [S., 1438] before 1493.3 He held the office of Governor of Dumbarton Castle.3

Henry Fitzalan, 19th Earl of Arundel 2

Henry Fitzalan, 12th/19th Earl of Arundel was born on 23 April 1512.3 He was the son of William FitzAlan, 11th/18th Earl of Arundel and Lady Anne Percy.3 He married, firstly, Lady Catherine Grey, daughter of Thomas Grey, 2nd Marquess of Dorset and Margaret Wotton, after 25 January 1524/25.4,5 He married, secondly, Mary Arundell, daughter of Sir John Arundell and Katharine Grenville, on 19 December 1545.4 He died on 24 February 1579/80 at age 67 at Arundel House, The Strand, London, EnglandG, without surviving male issue.6 He was buried at Arundel Castle, Arundel, Sussex, EnglandG.6 His will was proven (by probate) on 27 February 1579/80.6
He was educated at Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG.3 He held the office of Page of Honour to HM King Edward VIII.3 He succeeded as the Lord Mautravers on 5 February 1532/33.3 He held the office of Deputy Governor of Calais between 2 July 1540 and February 1544.3 He succeeded as the 19th Earl of Arundel [E., c. 1138] on 23 January 1543/44.3 He succeeded as the 19th Earl of Surrey on 23 January 1543/44. He was "of the middle size, well proportioned in limb, 'stronge in bone, furnished with cleane and firme flesh, voide of fogines and fatnes.' His countenance was regular and expressive, his voice powerful and pleasing; but the rapidity of his utterance often made his meaning 'somewhat harde to the unskilfull.6' "

John Erskine, 20th/3rd Earl of Mar was born circa 1585.2 He was the son of John Erskine, 19th/2nd Earl of Mar and Anne Drummond.2 He married Lady Jean Hay, daughter of Francis Hay, 9th Earl of Erroll and Lady Elizabeth Douglas, on 6 February 1609/10.2 He died in 1653.2
He was appointed Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.) in 1610.2 He held the office of Governor of Edinburgh Castle between 1615 and 1638.2 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) Charles Erskine, 22nd/5th Earl of Mar was born on 19 October 1650.1 He was the son of John Erskine, 21st/4th Earl of Mar and Jean Mackenzie.1 He was baptised on 24 October 1650 at Alloa, Clackmannanshire, ScotlandG.2 He married Lady Mary Maule, daughter of George Maule, 2nd Earl of Panmure, circa 2 April 1674.1 He died on 23 May 1689 at age 38.1
He succeeded as the 22nd Earl of Mar [S., c. 1115] in September 1668.1 He succeeded as the 10th Lord Erskine [S., 1438] in September 1668.1 He succeeded as the 5th Earl of Mar [S., 1565] in September 1668.1 He was founding Colonel of the Royal Scots Fusiliers between 1678 and 1686.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1682.1
