Menie Muriel Dowie

Menie Muriel Dowie was the daughter of James Muir Dowie.1 She married Rt. Hon. Sir Henry Norman, 1st Bt., son of Henry Norman and Sarah Edna Riddington, on 28 August 1891. She and Rt. Hon. Sir Henry Norman, 1st Bt. were divorced in 1903. She died on 25 March 1945.2
Her married name became Norman.

Edward Cecil Guinness, 1st Earl of Iveagh was born on 10 November 1847.1 He was the son of Sir Benjamin Lee Guinness, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Guinness.1 He married Adelaide Maria Guinness, daughter of Richard Samuel Guinness and Katherine Frances Jenkinson, on 20 May 1873.3 He died on 7 October 1927 at age 79.1
He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG, in 1870 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG, in 1872 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He held the office of Sheriff of Dublin in 1876.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Dublin in 1885.1 He was created 1st Baronet Guinness, of Castleknock, co. Dublin [U.K.] on 27 March 1885.1 He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Law (LL.D.) by Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG, in 1886.1 He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Law (LL.D.) by Aberdeen University, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, ScotlandG, in 1891.1 He was created 1st Baron Iveagh of Iveagh, co. Adelaide Maria Guinness1

Adelaide Maria Guinness was born in 1844.1 She was the daughter of Richard Samuel Guinness and Katherine Frances Jenkinson.2 She married Edward Cecil Guinness, 1st Earl of Iveagh, son of Sir Benjamin Lee Guinness, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Guinness, on 20 May 1873.3 She died on 16 February 1916.1
After her marriage, Adelaide Maria Guinness was styled as Baroness Iveagh of Iveagh on 19 January 1891. After her marriage, Adelaide Maria Guinness was styled as Viscountess of Iveagh on 18 December 1905.
