Captain Arbuthnott John Dunbar was born on 6 September 1885.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Arbuthnott Pery Byng Sutherland Dunbar and Catharina Hester Orred.2 He died on 17 March 1915 at age 29, killed in action.1
He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Field Artillery.1

Major Sir Archibald Edward Dunbar of Northfield, 10th Bt. was born on 17 February 1889.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Arbuthnott Pery Byng Sutherland Dunbar and Catharina Hester Orred.2 He married Olivia Douglas Sinclair May, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Sir Edward Sinclair May and Charlotte Dorothea William Stirling, on 10 April 1926.1 He died on 15 June 1969 at age 80.1
Major Sir Archibald Edward Dunbar of Northfield, 10th Bt. usually went by his middle name of Edward.1 He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Pembroke College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Major in the West Yorkshire Regiment.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1916.1 He succeeded as the 10th Baronet Dunbar, of Northfield [N.S., 1700] on 8 January 1916.1
