Sir Alexander Maule Jardine of Applegirth, 12th Bt. was born on 24 August 1947.1 He was the son of Sir William Edward Jardine of Applegirth, 11th Bt. and Ann Graham Maitland.2 He married Mary Beatrice Cross, daughter of Hon. John Michael Inigo Cross and Sybil Anne Murray, on 9 October 1982.1 He died on 6 April 2008 at age 60.3
He was educated at Gordonstoun School, Elgin, Morayshire, ScotlandG.1 He was admitted to Royal Company Archers.1 He succeeded as the 12th Baronet Jardine, of Applegirth [N.S., 1672] on 19 April 1986.1 He held the position of 23rd Chief of the Name and Arms of Jardine from on 19 April 1986.1 He was a herb farmer.1 He lived in 2003 at Ash House, Thwaites, Cumbria, EnglandG.1
