John Maxwell Erskine, 1st Baron Erskine of Rerrick was born on 14 December 1893.1 He was the son of John McMichan Erskine and Mary Ann Maxwell.1 He married Henrietta Dunnett, daughter of William Dunnett, on 15 September 1922.1 He died in 1980.3
