Lt.-Col. Sir Alexander Gordon was born between 1785 and 1789. He was the son of George Gordon, Lord Haddo and Charlotte Baird.1 He died circa 18 June 1815, from wounds received in action.1
He fought in the Peninsula Wars.1 He was Aide-de-Camp to Sir David Baird, his uncle, at the Cape of Good Hope and in Spain.1 He was Aide-de-Camp to the Duke of Wellington in the Peninsula nd at Waterloo.2 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)1 He fought in the Battle of Waterloo on 18 June 1815.1
