Menda Ralli was born on 24 March 1887.1 She was the daughter of Ambrose Ralli and Christine Alexandra Ralli.1 She married, firstly, Lord Arthur Vincent Hay, son of William Montagu Hay, 10th Marquess of Tweeddale and Candida Louise Bartolucci, on 27 May 1911.1 She married, secondly, Colonel Robert Edward Kennard Leatham, son of Arthur William Leatham and Mary Elise Kennard, on 3 January 1916.1 She died on 5 January 1959 at age 71.1
From 27 May 1911, her married name became Hay. From 3 January 1916, her married name became Leatham.

Colonel Robert Edward Kennard Leatham1

Colonel Robert Edward Kennard Leatham was the son of Arthur William Leatham and Mary Elise Kennard. He married Menda Ralli, daughter of Ambrose Ralli and Christine Alexandra Ralli, on 3 January 1916.2 He died on 11 May 1948.2
He gained the rank of Colonel in the Welsh Guards.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1

Lt.-Col. Sir William Vivian Makins, 3rd Bt. was born on 19 January 1903.1 He was the son of Sir Paul Augustine Makins, 2nd Bt. and Gladys Marie Vivian.2 He married Jean Hay, daughter of Lord Arthur Vincent Hay and Menda Ralli, on 4 April 1932.1 He died on 22 April 1969 at age 66.1
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was with the Sudan Defence Force, where he was mentioned in despatches between 1928 and 1930.1 He was Assistant Military Secretary to Gibraltar between 1937 and 1939.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Welsh Guards.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Makins, of Rotherfield Court, co. Oxford [U.K., 1903] on 10 September 1939.1 He was Commandant between 1944 and 1946 at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Hampshire in 1948.1 He was admitted to Gentlemen-at-Arms in 1951.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Hampshire in 1953.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Hampshire in 1960.1

Maj.-Gen. Lord Edward Douglas John Hay was born on 2 November 1888.1 He was the son of William Montagu Hay, 10th Marquess of Tweeddale and Candida Louise Bartolucci.1 He married, firstly, Violet Florence Catherine Barclay, daughter of Major Cameron Barclay and Hon. Charlotte Ernestine Horsley-Beresford, on 18 October 1917.1 He married, secondly, Audrey Clara Lilian Latham, daughter of Sir Thomas Paul Latham, 1st Bt. and Florence Clara Walley, on 5 July 1928.1 He died on 18 June 1944 at age 55 at Guards Chapel, Wellington Barracks, Westminster, London, EnglandG, killed by enemy action.1
He fought in the First World War, in Gallipoli, Egypt and France.1 He held the office of Member of the Essex County Council.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Essex Regiment.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 He gained the rank of Major-General in the Guards.1
