Sir John Francis Roskell Reynolds, 2nd Bt. was born on 23 June 1899 at Woolton, Lancashire, EnglandG. He was the son of Sir James Philip Reynolds, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Emilia Leila Roskell.2 He married, firstly, Millicent Lilian Elizabeth Orr Ewing, daughter of Major James Alexander Orr Ewing and Lady Margaret Frances Susan Innes-Ker, on 22 November 1921.1 He married, secondly, Eleanor Constance Holford, daughter of Lt.-Col. James Henry Edward Holford and Hon. Blanche Grosvenor, on 11 February 1933 at Marylebone, London, England.2 He died on 20 August 1956 at age 57.
He was educated at Downside School, Bath, Somerset, England.2 He fought in the First World War.2 He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He was partner of Reynolds and Gibson, cotton brokers between 1925 and 1956 at Liverpool, Lancashire, EnglandG. He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Reynolds, of Woolton, co. Lancaster [U.K., 1923] on 12 December 1932.2 He fought in the Second World War.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Irish Guards.2 He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1945.2 He was director of Martins Bank Ltd, Sea Insurance Company and Harrods.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)2 He held the office of High Sheriff of Lancashire in 1952. He was chairman of Combined Egyptian Mills Ltd.2

Archibald Ian Orr Ewing1

Archibald Ian Orr Ewing was born on 7 April 1884.1 He was the son of John Orr Ewing and Ellen Clarissa Kennard.2 He married Gertrude Bertha Runge, daughter of Charles Hermann Runge, on 24 April 1911.1 He died on 24 March 1942 at age 57.1
He fought in the First World War.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Berkshire Yeomanry.1 He fought in the Second World War.2 He gained the rank of Flight Lieutenant in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.2

Gertrude Bertha Runge1

Gertrude Bertha Runge was the daughter of Charles Hermann Runge.2 She married Archibald Ian Orr Ewing, son of John Orr Ewing and Ellen Clarissa Kennard, on 24 April 1911.1 She died on 10 March 1974.1
From 24 April 1911, her married name became Orr Ewing.

Phoebe Gertrude Orr Ewing1
