Sir Richard Rothwell, 1st Bt.1

Sir Richard Rothwell, 1st Bt. was born circa 1628.2 He was the son of William Rothwell and Alice Stow.2 He married Elizabeth Clifton, daughter of Robert Clifton, in 1673.3 He died in 1693, without male issue.4
He was created 1st Baronet Rothwell, of Ewerby and Stapleford, co. Lincoln [England] on 16 August 1661.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Newark in 1677.5 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Newark between 1679 and 1681.5

Sir Thomas Barnardiston, 1st Bt. was born circa 1618.2 He was the son of Sir Nathaniel Barnardiston and Jane Soame.2 He married Anne Armyne, daughter of Sir William Armyne, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Hicks, before 1643.2 He died on 4 October 1669.2 He was buried on 14 October 1669 at Ketton, Suffolk, EnglandG.2
He was admitted to Gray's Inn on 1 May 1635.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bury St. Edmunds from October 1645 to December 1648.2 He was commander of the Regiment of Foot in 1648 against the King's forces at Colchester.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Suffolk from 1654 to 1655.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Suffolk from 1656 to 1658.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Suffolk in 1659.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Ipswich from 1661 to February 1662.2 He was created 1st Baronet Barnardiston, of Ketton, co. She married, secondly, Johann August Prinz von Sachsen-Gotha-Roda, son of Friedrich II Herzog von Sachsen-Gotha-Altenburg and Magdalena Augusta von Anhalt-Zerbst, on 6 January 1752 at Roda, GermanyG. She died on 28 May 1773 at age 46 at Roda, GermanyG.

Sir William Abdy, 4th Bt.1

Sir William Abdy, 4th Bt. was baptised on 1 September 1689.1,2 He was the son of Sir Anthony Abdy, 2nd Bt. and Mary Milward.1 He and Mary Stotherd obtained a marriage license on 13 May 1714.1 He died on 18 January 1749/50 at age 60.1 He died intestate and his estate was administered on 5 February 1749/50, and again 25 February 1777.1
He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Abdy, of Felix Hall [in Kelvedon], co. Essex [E., 1641] on 11 June 1733, then 'of Chobham Place, Surrey.1' He lived at Golden Square, St. James's, London, EnglandG.1

Mary Stotherd was the daughter of Philip Stotherd.1 She and Sir William Abdy, 4th Bt. obtained a marriage license on 13 May 1714.1 She died on 6 April 1743.1
