Sir John Scott Horsbrugh-Porter, 2nd Bt.1

Sir John Scott Horsbrugh-Porter, 2nd Bt. was born on 18 July 1871.1 He was the son of Sir Andrew Marshall Porter, 1st Bt. and Agnes Adinston Horsbrugh.2 He married, firstly, Elaine Maud Jefferies, daughter of Thomas Jefferies, on 12 June 1906.1 He married, secondly, Edith Dorothy Worsley, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Richard Worsley, on 30 January 1924.1 He died on 7 March 1953 at age 81.1
He was given the name of John Scott Porter at birth.1 He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, EnglandG.1 He graduated from Brasenose College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1894 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 In 1911 his name was legally changed to John Scott Horsbrugh-Porter.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Porter, of Merrion Square, City and County of Dublin [U.K., 1902] on 9 January 1919.1 He graduated from Brasenose College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1923 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was Senior Clerk, House of Commons in 1934.1
