William Murdoch Moffat1

William Murdoch Moffat was born in 1884.1 He was the son of Francis Moffat and Margaret Helen Murdoch.2 He married Jean Guthrie Troup, daughter of Reverend George Elmslie Troup, on 16 June 1914 at Broughty Ferry, Angus, Scotland.1 He died on 26 April 1948 at Moffat, Scotland.1
He became one of the biggest sheep-farmers in southern Scotland, owning some 10,000 acres.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1
