Venerable Hon. Stephen Henry Phillimore was born on 14 December 1881.1 He was the son of Sir Walter George Francis Phillimore, 1st Baron Phillimore and Agnes Lushington.2 He died on 16 April 1956 at age 74, unmarried.1
He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, EnglandG.1 He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1904 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1909.1 He served as Chaplain to the Forces during the First World War.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) and bar.1 He was the Rector between 1926 and 1933 at Stephney, London, England.1 He held the office of Archdeacon of Middlesex between 1933 and 1953.1 He was the Vicar between 1934 and 1940 at St. Thomas's, Regent Street, London, England.1 He was appointed Commander, Order of the Orange Nassau (The Netherlands.)1 He was the Rector between 1950 and 1954 at St. George's, Hanover Square, London, England.1 He held the office of Archdeacon Emeritus of Middlesex between 1953 and 1956.1
