David Garro Trefgarne, 2nd Baron Trefgarne was born on 31 March 1941.1 He is the son of George Morgan Trefgarne, 1st Baron Trefgarne and Elizabeth Churchill.3 He married Hon. Rosalie Lane, daughter of Peter Stewart Lane, Baron Lane of Horsell and Doris Florence Botsford, on 9 November 1968.1
He was educated at Haileybury College, Haileybury, Hertfordshire, England.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Trefgarne, of Cleddau, co. Pembroke [U.K., 1947] on 27 September 1960.1 He was educated at Princeton University, Princeton, New Jersey, U.S.A.1 He was awarded the Royal Aero Club Bronze Medal in 1963 for a flight from U.K. to Australia and back in a light aircraft.1 He held the office of Parliamentary Under-Secretary of Transport in 1981.1 He held the office of Parliamentary Under-Secretary of Foreign and Commonwealth Office between 1981 and 1982.1 He held the office of Parliamentary Under-Secretary of DHSS between 1982 and 1983.1 He held the office of Parliamentary Under-Secretary of MOD between 1983 and 1985.1 He held the office of Minister of State, MOD between 1985 and 1989.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1989.1 He held the office of Minister of State, DTI between 1989 and 1990.3 He was director of Siebe plc in 1991.1 He held the office of Elected Member, House of Lords in 1999.1 He lived in 2003 at The Old Barn, Kettlewell Close, Horsell, Surrey, England.1
