Peter Noel Loxley was born on 27 March 1905.2 He was the son of Captain Arthur Noel Loxley and Gladys Maude Brooke-Hunt.1 He married Elizabeth Lavender Dawnay, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Guy Payan Dawnay and Cecil Buxton, on 26 July 1938.1 He died on 1 February 1945 at age 39, killed in an aircraft accident while on an official mission for H.M. Diplomatic Service.1
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He graduated from Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)2

Maj.-Gen. Alan Geoffrey Charles Dawnay was born on 24 March 1888.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Hon. Lewis Rayan Dawnay and Lady Victoria Alexandrina Elizabeth Grey.1 He married Elizabeth Sofia Bulteel, daughter of John George Bulteel and Maraquita Masini Grenfell, on 3 August 1914.1 He died on 28 September 1938 at age 50.1
He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches eight times.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1917.1 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1919.1 He gained the rank of GSO(1) between 1930 and 1933 in the War Office.1 He gained the rank of Major-General in the Grenadier Guards.1 He was Comptroller BBC (Programmes Division) between 1933 and 1935.1 He was commander of the Irish Guards Regiment between 1935 and 1936.1 He gained the rank of Temporary Brigadier in 1936.1 He was Director of PR, War Office in 1937.1
