William Watkin Edward Wynne was born on 23 December 1801.1 He was the son of William Wynne and Elizabeth Puleston.2 He married Mary Slaney, daughter of Robert Aglionby Slaney and Elizabeth Muckleston, on 8 May 1839.1 He died on 9 June 1880 at age 78 at Peniarth, Merionethshire, Wales.1,2
He was educated in 1814 at Westminster School, Westminster, London, England.1 He matriculated at Jesus College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, on 24 March 1820.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Merioneth between 1852 and 1865.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of Merionethshire in 1867.2
