Sir Orlando Bridgeman, 1st Bt. was born on 30 January 1608/9 at Exeter, Devon, EnglandG.2 He was the son of Rt. Rev. John Bridgeman and Elizabeth Helyar.2 He married, firstly, Judith Kynaston, daughter of John Kynaston, on 30 January 1627/28. He married, secondly, Dorothy Saunders, daughter of John Saunders, before 1648.2 He died on 25 June 1674 at age 65 at Teddington, London, EnglandG.2 He was buried at Teddington, London, EnglandG.2
He matriculated at Queens' College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in July 1619.2 He graduated from Queens' College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in January 1624 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He was Fellow in July 1624 at Magdalene College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG.2 He was admitted to Inner Temple in November 1624.2 He was a practising barrister in February 1632.2 He held the office of Vice-Chamberlain of Chester in 1638.2 He held the office of Solicitor-General in 1640, to the Prince of Wales.2 He held the office of Attorney of the Court of Wards in 1640.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Wigan from April 1640 to May 1640.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Wigan from 1640 to April 1642.2 He was appointed Knight on 17 November 1643.2 He was a Commissioner at the Treaty of Uxbridge in 1645.2 In August 1646 he was a compounder, and was fined £2,246.2 He held the office of Serjeant-at-Law on 30 May 1660.2 He held the office of Chief Baron of the Exchequer on 1 June 1660.2 He was created 1st Baronet Bridgeman, of Great Lever, co. Lancaster [England] on 7 June 1660.2 He held the office of Lord Chief Justice of the Court of Common Pleas between 22 October 1660 and May 1668.2 He held the office of Lord Keeper of the Great Seal between 30 August 1667 and 17 November 1672.2 He was a member of the New England Company in 1668.3
Cokayne quotes Foss' Judges stating " ''the profundity of his learning and the extent of his industry,' as also his honest principles and his moderation, were undoubted, but he is siad to have had little knowledge of equity, and to have been, more especially in his old age 'timorous to an impotence.2' "

Sarah Anne Baldwin1

Sarah Anne Baldwin was born on 19 April 1830.1 She was the daughter of George Pearce Baldwin and Sarah Chalkey Stanley.1 She married George Robinson in 1861.1 She died on 15 December 1919 at age 89.1
From 1861, her married name became Robinson.1
