William Wickham1

William Wickham was born in October 1761 at Cottingley, Yorkshire, England.1 He was the son of Henry Wickham and Elizabeth Lamplugh.1 He married Eleonora Madeleine Bertrand, daughter of Professor Louis Bertrand, on 10 August 1788.1 He died on 22 October 1840 at Brighton, Sussex, England.1
He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England.1 He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1782 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He graduated from University of Geneva, Geneva, Switzerland, in February 1786 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was Minister to the Swiss Cantons in 1795.1 He was Under-Secretary of State, Home Secretary between 1798 and 1801.1 He was member of the Treasury Board between 1806 and 1807.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)1

Eleonora Madeleine Bertrand1
