Jane Newman was born on 29 October 1827.1 She was the daughter of Captain Robert Newman and Hester Moody.1 She married Samuel Watt, son of Andrew Alexander Watt and Anne Allingham, on 21 December 1852.1 She died on 2 May 1899 at age 71.1
From 21 December 1852, her married name became Watt.1

He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 56th Wessex Regiment of Foot.1 In 1810 he was dishonourably discharged.1 He was Collector of Still Fines for the Barony of Irishowen in April 1815.1 He was Collector of Still Fines for Donegal in 1816.1
