Lt.-Col. Percy Robert Clifton

Lt.-Col. Percy Robert Clifton was born between 1873 and 1876.1 He was the son of Sir Hervey Juckes Lloyd Bruce, 4th Bt. and Ellen Maud Ricardo.1 He married, firstly, Aletheia Georgina Paget, daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir Richard Horner Paget, 1st Bt. and Caroline Isabel Surtees, on 19 January 1898.1,2 He married, secondly, Evelyn Mary Amelia Leith, daughter of Major Thomas Leith and Lady Mary Isabella Dalzell, on 27 November 1909.1 He died on 10 November 1944.1
He was given the name of Percy Robert Bruce at birth.1 He fought in the First World War, serving in Gallipoli, Egypt and Palestine.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Territorial Force Reserve.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1916.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1918.1 He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)1 On 1 November 1919 his name was legally changed to Percy Robert Clifton by Royal Licence.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Nottinghamshire in 1929.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Nottinghamshire.1 He lived at Clifton Hall, Nottinghamshire, EnglandG.1

William Michael Clifton Brooks, 4th Baron Crawshaw of Crawshaw was born on 25 March 1933.1 He was the son of Gerald Beach Brooks, 3rd Baron Crawshaw of Crawshaw and Marjory Sheila Clifton.2 He died on 7 November 1997 at age 64, without issue.1
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baron Crawshaw of Crawshaw, co. Lancaster and of Whatton, co.
