Robert Geoffrey Borwick, 3rd Baron Borwick was born on 1 July 1886.1 He was the son of Robert Hudson Borwick, 1st Baron Borwick and Caroline Smith Johnston.2 He married, firstly, Irene Phyllis Patterson, daughter of Thomas Main Patterson, on 8 July 1913.1 He and Irene Phyllis Patterson were divorced in 1920.1 He married, secondly, Margaret Elizabeth Sandbach, daughter of Gilbert Robertson Sandbach, on 20 July 1920.1 He died on 30 January 1961 at age 74.1
He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Field Artillery.2 He fought in the First World War.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 20th Hussars.3 He gained the rank of Captain in the Hertfordshire Regiment.3 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Borwick, of Hawkshead, co. George Borwick, 2nd Baron Borwick was born on 22 May 1880 at Walthamstow, Essex, EnglandG.1 He was the son of Robert Hudson Borwick, 1st Baron Borwick and Caroline Smith Johnston.1 He married, firstly, Mary Mason Hasell, daughter of Lewis Cruger Hasell, on 7 December 1908 at New York, U.S.A.G.1 He and Mary Mason Hasell were divorced in 1913.1 He married, secondly, Dorothea Gertrude Grey, daughter of Charles Grey, on 8 June 1918 at Chapel Royal of the Savoy, London, EnglandG.1 He and Dorothea Gertrude Grey were divorced on 14 April 1938.1 He died on 27 January 1941 at age 60, without issue.2

Dorothea Gertrude Grey was the daughter of Charles Grey.1 She married, firstly, George Borwick, 2nd Baron Borwick, son of Robert Hudson Borwick, 1st Baron Borwick and Caroline Smith Johnston, on 8 June 1918 at Chapel Royal of the Savoy, London, EnglandG.1 She and George Borwick, 2nd Baron Borwick were divorced on 14 April 1938.1 She married, secondly, Sir Henry Gordon Ley, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Francis Ley, 1st Bt. and Georgina Townsend Willis, on 23 January 1939.2 She died in 1986.3
Her married name became Borwick. After her marriage, Dorothea Gertrude Grey was styled as Baroness Borwick on 27 January 1936. From 23 January 1939, her married name became Ley.2
