Major Sir Edward Christian Goschen, 3rd Bt.1

Major Sir Edward Christian Goschen, 3rd Bt. was born on 2 September 1913.2 He was the son of Sir Edward Henry Goschen, 2nd Bt. and Mary Danneskjold-Samsöe.2 He married Cynthia Cadogan, daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir Alexander George Montagu Cadogan and Lady Theodosia Louisa Augusta Acheson, on 6 December 1946.2 He died on 8 March 2001 at age 87.3
He was educated at Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.2 He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Goschen, of Beacon Lodge, Southampton [U.K., 1916] on 7 August 1933.2 He gained the rank of Captain and Temporary Major in the Tower Hamlets Rifles, Rifle Brigade.2 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.2 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1944.3 He was deputy chairman of the Stock Exchange Council between 1963 and 1971.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of Berkshire in 1967.2 He was a Commonwealth War Graves Commissioner in 1977.2

Major William George Sydney Cadogan was born on 31 January 1879.1 He was the son of George Henry Cadogan, 5th Earl Cadogan and Lady Beatrix Jane Craven.2 He died on 12 November 1914 at age 35, killed in action.1
He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902.1 He was Equerry to HRH The Prince of Wales between 1912 and 1914.1 He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.)1 He fought in the First World War. He gained the rank of Major in the 10th Hussars.1 He gained the rank of GSO (3) in 1914.1

Sir George Frederick Johnstone of Westerhall, 7th Bt. was born in December 1810. He was the son of Sir John Lowther Johnstone of Westerhall, 6th Bt. and Charlotte Gordon.2 He married Lady Louisa Elizabeth Frederica Craven, daughter of General William Craven, 1st Earl of Craven and Louisa Brunton, on 24 October 1840.1 He died on 7 May 1841 at age 30.1
He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Johnstone, of Westerhall [N.S., 1700] on 24 December 1811.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Weymouth between 1822 and 1835.2 He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.2
