Lt.-Col. David Alexander Keppel Legge1

Lt.-Col. David Alexander Keppel Legge was born on 7 January 1916.1 He was the son of John Augustus Legge and Grace Margaret Dunsmure.1 He married Patria Hornung, daughter of Lt.-Col. Charles Bernard Raphael Hornung and Olive Phillpotts, on 2 December 1944.1 He died on 1 April 2001 at age 85.1
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Fusiliers.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was wounded.1 He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1953.1 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1970.1
