Diana Mary Portman was born on 10 August 1923.1 She was the daughter of Brigadier Guy Maurice Berkeley Portman and Miriam Katharine Taylor.1 She married F/O Raymond Guy Manning, son of J. J. Manning, on 4 February 1945.1 She died on 19 February 1945 at age 21 at ItalyG, killed in a flying accident with her husband.1
She was with the Special Operations Executive and First Aid Nursing Yeomanry during the Second World War.1 Her married name became Manning.
