He married, firstly, Maria Gräfin von Ledebur-Wicheln, daughter of Eugen Rudolf Maria Graf von Ledebur-Wicheln and Eleonore Marie Henriette Ernestine Gräfin Larisch von Mönnich, on 21 December 1950 at Munich, Bavaria, GermanyG.2 He married, secondly, Therese Maria Gabriele Carola Hilda Prinzessin zu Hohenlohe-Waldenburg-Schillingsfürst, daughter of Friedrich Karl III 5th Fürst zu Hohenlohe-Schillingsfürst and Mechtilde Prinzessin von Urach, on 23 August 1986 at Schwaigern, Wurttemberg, GermanyG, in a civil marriage. Josef Hubert and Therese Maria Gabriele Carola Hilda were also married in a religious ceremony on 25 September 1986 at Waldenburg, GermanyG. He died on 12 September 2020 at age 102 at Schwaigern, Germany.
He was given the name of Maria Josef Hubert Ernst Amadeus Vincenz Benediktus Antonius Konrad Apolinarius at birth.2
