7½ x 5 inches

An animated design in gilt, with a dance scene in the centre framed by a dynamic border of holly, berries, and mistletoe. The mistletoe hangs appropriately over the figures, while a Christmas cake occupies the lower border. The contrast between the dark green cloth and gilt creates a festive effect. Though unsigned, it is unquestionably by Caldecott.
