Seated statue of St. Luke (partial view), by H. H. Armstead, together with (right) the sculptor's design. The statue is the third in the row of the four Evangelists on the side of the south-west tower of Llandaff Cathedral. Unfortunately, it is hard to see the whole figure,but from the design it is clear that the Evangeslist is identified by his usual iconography: a winged man, seen in the design for the relief just below him.
