Yucca arkansana Trelease ssp. freemanii (Shinners) Hochstätter

Basionym: Yucca freemanii L. H. Shinners, Yucca freemanii, a new species from northeastern Texas. Field and Laboratory 19:168-171.1951.
Type: 2.5 miles southwest of Redwater, in red sandy-clay soil, Bowie Co., Texas, H.A. FREEMAN, 6 July 1950 (in Herb. Southern Methodist University). Known also from the collections in the same herbarium (SMU) and in that of the Missouri Botanical Garden (Mo).
